Adventures of a 3 Year Old Photographer | Noblesville, IN Children's Photographer

Tonight's blog post is brought to you by Lu ;)

I had Valentine's Day minis this past weekend and after I was finished Lu was really wanting to see my camera.  Now mind you I have never let her touch, let alone use my camera, but I let her this time.  I kept it on manual, but I lowered my aperture to about 3 and set my shutter a little lower so her images wouldn't come out too underexposed.  Now obviously she is just clicking the shutter and not changing the settings or even the focal point, but hey she's 3! She does, however, know how to look through the viewfinder and know where the focal point is enough to move the camera around to get her subject in focus! Some of the pictures came out so good, others not so good, but I let her use it and take pictures of whatever she wanted.

Here is photography through the eyes of a 3 year old, hope you enjoy!
Feel free to leave her some love, I read all your comments to her and she is so proud of herself!

Don't be afraid to be you | Noblesville IN Children's photographer

Today's post is a little bit more personal.  I once thought photography was about how "good" you were, how many clients you had and how many people liked you.  I was wrong.  Photography, to me, is art. No matter who says you can't do something or you aren't doing it right, they will never take away the fact that your art is just that, your art.  Who cares what "they" say.  Who are "they" anyway?

Whether in fact actual people are telling you to conform or it is the voice in your head, don't be afraid to do what you want if it makes you happy.  Be you. Be unique.  Be strong.  Let your mind fly.

I have compiled a few photos for you all that break all the "rules" that not only step out of the box they are a mile from it.  It's ok, it's fun, it's art <3

Get out there today and break the rules! (The photography rules at least)
